How Flourish Areas Sync to BioTrack Rooms

Flourish syncs Areas to BioTrack as Rooms, including Area Type for one-to-one mapping, ensuring accurate compliance tracking and reporting.

For BioTrack-integrated facilities, Flourish syncs Areas to BioTrack as Rooms to support compliance tracking and reporting.

To ensure accurate and consistent mapping between systems, BioTrack Rooms include the Area Type as part of the Room name.

How Areas Sync to BioTrack

Each Area in Flourish is mapped to a corresponding Room in BioTrack by an ID provided by BioTrack's API.

  • Creating a new Area in Flourish will create a new Room in BioTrack
  • Updating an Area in Flourish will update the name of the corresponding Room in BioTrack
  • Each Area Type is tracked independently, even if the Area Name is the same

This ensures a one-to-one relationship between Flourish Areas and BioTrack Rooms.

How Plant Room Naming Works

When a Plant Area is created or updated in Flourish, it is synced to BioTrack using the following format:

Area Name [Area Type]

This ensures that each Plant Area Name & Area Type combination in Flourish maps to a unique Room in BioTrack. For example:

  • “Area Name” (Area Type) → Area Name [Area Type]
  • “Veg Room” (Vegetative) → Veg Room [Vegetative]
  • “Room 1” (Vegetative) → Room 1 [Vegetative]
  • “Room 1” (Flower) → Room 1 [Flowering]
  • “Dry 1” (Harvest) → Dry 1 [Harvest]

How Inventory Room Naming Works

When an Inventory Area is created or updated in Flourish, it is synced to BioTrack using the following format:

Area Name

For example:

  • “Room A” (Inventory) → Room A
  • “Room A” (Quarantine) → Room A

Area Names vs. BioTrack Room Names

There are some important differences between how Plant Areas appear in Flourish and how Plant Rooms appear in BioTrack:

  • In Flourish, Plant Areas display as the Area Name only
    • Example: “Greenhouse”
  • In BioTrack, Plant Rooms display as Area Name + Area Type
    • Example: “Greenhouse [Flower]”

This difference is expected and ensures that each Plant Area Type is clearly identified in BioTrack.

Inventory Rooms are treated differently. They do not have [Inventory] appended to the area name.

  • In Flourish, Inventory Areas display as the Area Name only
    • Example: “Pre-Rolls”
  • In BioTrack, Inventory Rooms display as Area Name
    • Example: “Pre-Rolls”

Using the Same Plant Area Name Across Area Types

Flourish allows you to use the same Area Name across different Area Types.

For example:

  • “Room 1” (Vegetative)
  • “Room 1” (Flowering)

In BioTrack, these will appear as:

  • “Room 1 [Vegetative]”
  • “Room 1 [Flowering]”

Each combination of Area Name and Area Type is treated as a separate Room in BioTrack.

Special Considerations

Inventory Rooms do not include the Area Type in brackets.

All Flourish Areas will still function normally in Flourish and should be used as expected.

Summary

  • Flourish Areas sync to BioTrack as Rooms
  • BioTrack Plant Rooms include the Area Type in brackets, and Inventory Rooms do not.
  • Area Names remain unchanged in Flourish
  • Each Plant Area Name + Area Type combination maps to a unique Room in BioTrack

This structure ensures accurate tracking, reporting, and alignment between Flourish and BioTrack.
