Manufacturing Runs on the Flourish Mobile App

Purpose: This guide is for processing teams using the Flourish Android app to run manufacturing on the floor — create a processing run, scan in inputs, record outputs and waste, and complete the run, including Metrc processing-job reporting and BioTrack requirements.

Before you start:

• Your mobile user role needs the Manufacturing module enabled (Settings > User Roles on the web app). Without it, the Manufacturing tile doesn't appear.
• Run types and machines are set up on the web app.
• To adjust leftovers after completion, your role also needs the Inventory Adjust Package or Adjust Inventory permission.

Find Your Runs

1. From the app home screen, tap Manufacturing.
2. The Runs tab lists your runs, newest first. Each card shows the run's name, status, reference number, run type and machine, and created date.
3. Filter with the chips: Open (Created, In Progress, and Paused runs), Completed, or All.

Create a Run

1. On the Runs tab, tap New Run. The wizard has three steps: Details → Inputs → Review.
2. Details — enter a Run Name and select the Run Type and Machine; add a Lot Number if you use one. Tap More Details for shift, employees, temperature, pressure, duration, reference, and notes.Metrc processing-job facilities: the run name must be unique — the screen reminds you.
3. Inputs — scan each input, or type into "Scan or enter a tag, UPC, or lot #" and tap Add:
   • A package tag adds that package. A lot number finds the packages on that lot (pick one if several match). A non-cannabis code (lot, UPC, or SKU) adds a consumable — pick the inventory line if more than one qualifies.
   • Confirm the Quantity to Consume for each input — it defaults to the full available amount. Scanning an input again reopens its quantity instead of adding a duplicate.
   • No scanner handy? Tap Browse Packages and search.
   • Tap any staged input to Edit Quantity or Remove Input. The summary line tracks "cannabis · consumables."
4. Review — check the inputs and totals, then tap Create Run.
5. Choose Start Now to begin immediately, or Save For Later to leave it in the queue with status Created.

The Run Screen

Tap a run to open it. You'll see the status, run type and machine, then Inputs, Outputs, and Waste sections. Inputs and outputs can be edited or removed (tap the row) until the run is completed or cancelled.

The footer buttons follow the run's status: Start a Created run, Pause / Resume while it's going, Complete when it's done, or Cancel — canceling releases all input and consumable allocations back to inventory and can't be undone.

Record Outputs

1. On the run screen, tap Add Output.
2. Metrc facilities: scan the output's Metrc Tag from your facility's tag pool. BioTrack and non-compliance facilities: outputs are tag-less — the ID is generated at completion.
3. Select the Item and enter the Total Qty (each-based items take whole numbers).
4. If the item tracks strain per package, select the Strain.
5. Confirm the Lot Number (pre-filled when all inputs share one), and the Area and Location if your facility requires them.
6. Flag the package as needed: Production Batch, Trade Sample, or Finished Good (Finished Good appears only for Metrc facilities in states that allow it, on each-based items).
7. Tap Save. Add as many outputs as the run produces.

Record Waste

Tap Record Waste on the run screen, enter the Waste Weight and UOM, and optionally a reason comment. BioTrack facilities also select a Waste Item — required whenever a waste weight is set. Tap the waste row later to edit it.

Complete the Run

1. Tap Complete. The Complete Run screen shows a checklist — green checks pass, red marks block:
   • Output Packages — at least one output with a quantity
   • Input Quantities — every input above zero
   • BioTrack Waste Item — set, if you recorded waste weight
2. Metrc processing-job facilities see a "Report to Metrc as a processing job" toggle — it consumes inputs and creates outputs as one Metrc job. With it on, you'll also provide a Unique Name, a Note (Metrc requires both), and a Run Type, and every output must be a Production Batch with a lot number (Metrc uses the lot number as the production batch number).
3. Tap Complete. The button stays dimmed until every blocking check passes.
4. BioTrack: if a unit-weight tolerance violation is detected, the app shows the details and asks whether to Proceed — confirming completes the run with the override.
5. On success you'll see Run Completed with the new package IDs — tap OK, or Adjust Leftovers to record leftover waste right away.

Record Leftover Waste After Completion

After a run completes, tap Record Leftover Waste on the run screen (or Adjust Leftovers on the success dialog):

1. The screen lists the run's Input Packages and Consumables with their live remaining quantities.
2. Tap a line, enter the New Qty remaining, select an Adjustment Reason, and tap Adjust.
3. Every adjustment is recorded against the run, so web reporting ties the waste back to it.

Compliance at a Glance

Troubleshooting

• "No package or non-cannabis item matched that code" — the scan isn't a package tag, cannabis lot, or non-cannabis lot/UPC/SKU in your inventory.
• "This package is locked and can't be used as an input" — unlock it in Inventory first.
• "Tag is not in the facility's available tag pool" — the scanned Metrc tag is already used or not assigned to your facility.
• "Resolve the failed checks before completing" — one of the checklist items is red; fix it on the run screen and come back.
• The Manufacturing tile is missing — your role doesn't have the Manufacturing module; ask your admin.
