Flourish Software supports METRC’s new mother plant management capabilities, now available in most states (excluding CA, CO, and MO)

Scope of States

Flourish fully supports mother plant tracking, syncing, and compliance—no workflow changes are needed.

For California

For Colorado and Missouri:

  • The Mother phase is treated as immature (not tagged).

  • The Mother phase is mature (same as Vegetation).
  • In Flourish, plants moved to Mother will sync as “Vegetation” in METRC.

Mother Plants and Group Actions

Plants and Groups Restrictions

  • Once a plant enters the Mother phase in METRC, it must remain there unless destroyed. The available actions reflect the role of mother plants in the cultivation process—they are intended only for propagation, not for further growth or harvest.
  • METRC does not allow harvesting or moving mother plants to a different grow phase.

Moving Plants to the Mother Area

When moving a plant or group to the Mother Area in Flourish, you’ll see this confirmation message:

“Once plants are moved to Mother phase in METRC, they must remain in Mother status until clones are planted or packaged (or until destroyed). Please confirm this is the action you wish to take.”
