If your payment terminal is not connecting, please follow this checklist to troubleshoot before reaching out for additional support.

🛠️ Steps to Check Your Terminal

  1. Has this terminal ever been used successfully before?
    • If this is your first time setting it up, please confirm you have completed all setup instructions provided.
  2. When was it last working properly?
    • Knowing when the issue began helps identify whether it is related to configuration or a change in your network.
  3. Check power and internet connection:
    • Make sure the terminal is plugged in securely.
    • Confirm it is connected to WiFi or Ethernet.
      • If connected to WiFi, the WiFi icon at the top of the screen on the device will change from white to green.
  4. Verify the device mode:
    • Look at the bottom left corner of the screen.
    • Make sure it says SEMI mode.
      • If it does not (e.g. if in STANDALONE mode), please switch it to SEMI mode so that the gateway can connect to it.
  5. Download and reboot the terminal:
    • Perform a download (this updates the device software).
    • After the download completes, reboot the terminal.
