How to Kill Plants
Purpose
Kill plants in Flourish to remove them from active inventory and record the reason for destruction. This keeps your plant counts accurate and supports compliance reporting (for example, METRC). You can kill plants directly from the Plants list or from within a Plant Group.
Prerequisites
Confirm you have permission to kill plants in Cultivation. Ensure that Update is selected for all sub-modules in the Grow Module. Contact support@flourishsoftware.com if the Kill Plants option isn't available to you.

Kill Plants from the Plants List
Use this method to kill one or more Plant IDs directly from your plant inventory.
- Navigate to the Inventory module.
- Select Plants from the top ribbon.

- Click All Plants.

- Click Action.
- Click Destroy Plants.

- Scan or enter a Plant ID to locate a specific plant, or select the checkbox next to each Plant ID you want to kill.
- Enter a reason in the Reason field (for example, Death).
- Click Destroy to confirm.

Flourish removes the selected Plant ID(s) from active inventory and logs the reason for reporting.
Kill Individual Plant IDs from a Plant Group
Use this method to kill one or more Plant IDs from within a specific group without removing the entire group.
- Navigate to Grow from the left side menu.
- Select the plant development stage that contains the group (for example, Propagation or Vegetation).
- Click Groups in [stage] (for example, Veg Groups).
- Use Filter by area to narrow the list by location, if needed.
- Select the area.
- Select the plant group.
- Click Edit.

- Select the checkbox next to each Plant ID you want to kill.

- Click Destroy.
- Enter a reason in the Reason field (for example, Death).
- Click Destroy to confirm.

Flourish removes the selected Plant IDs from the group and logs the reason for reporting.
To kill a large batch of Plant IDs at once using a CSV upload instead of selecting them individually, see Bulk Destroy Plant IDs.
