Flourish integrates with QuickBooks Online Plus and QuickBooks Online Advanced. QuickBooks Simple Start, Essentials, and Basic are not supported.
Why is this required?
There are two reasons:
- API Access: Flourish connects to QuickBooks through Intuit's official API to sync invoices, payments, items, customers, and vendors. Intuit only makes API access available to third-party applications on the Plus and Advanced plans. Lower-tier plans do not support third-party integrations.
- Inventory Tracking: Flourish syncs inventory items into QuickBooks, which requires QBO's inventory tracking feature. This feature is only available on Plus and Advanced plans.
Which plan should I choose?
For most Flourish customers, QuickBooks Online Plus provides everything needed. QuickBooks Online Advanced may be a better fit for higher-volume operators who need batch invoicing, custom user roles, or higher transaction limits.
How do I upgrade?
If you're currently on a lower-tier QuickBooks plan, you can upgrade directly within your QuickBooks account under Settings → Subscriptions and billing. Once upgraded, you can connect Flourish by following the steps in our integrations guide.
