Configuring Item E-Commerce Categories and Subcategories

Use a dedicated screen for managing E-Commerce Categories and Subcategories, designed to support the Flourish in-store retail product menu export functionality and future enhacements on Flourish's roadmap.

Current e-commerce partners read from the item's class and category, so please refer to integration specific documentation (Ex: AIQ / Dispense, Jane, Rank Really High)

This new interface streamlines category management and introduces features for better product classification, drag-and-drop sorting, and UI-friendly data editing.

Configure Instructions

Find the screen in Settings > Items > Item Ecommerce Categories

Create, Edit, and Organize

Add and manage categories and subcategories
Note: A category
Inline edit the names and descriptions
Enable/Disable as needed
After you disable a category you can delete it if you don't need to use it anymore. This will remove it from all items.

🔁 Reordering with Drag & Drop

Dragging to order of these categories and subcategories controls how they dispaly on the Flourish generated print menu.

Drag and drop to:
- Reorder categories
- Reorder subcategories within a category
- Move subcategories to different categories
Sort order is saved automatically

📂 Fold/Unfold for Easier Browsing

Expand or collapse:
- Individual categories
- All categories at once

Item Attributes

Add these mappings to the item with the Ecommerce tab within the item configuration
This is also available using Flourish's "Bulk Update" item to export/import changes
