Mobile App - Apply Additives to Plants
Record plant additive applications by selecting area, additive item, quantity, and date. The app logs each application with lot details, warns of stock issues, and prepares the form for quick successive entries.
Before you start:
- Additives must be set up in the web app under Admin > Inventory > Items with the Apply to Plants option enabled. Both inventory items (tracked quantity and lots) and non-inventory items are supported.
- Your mobile user role needs the Apply to plants permission under the Grow module.
- Every application is recorded in the Plant Additive Log on the web app, including the additive, lot, quantity, area, group, strain, date, and who applied it.
Steps:
- Open Apply to Plants
- From the Cultivation module, tap Apply to Plants, or
- Open a plant group and choose Apply to Plants from the group's actions (available for Vegetative and Flowering groups). The group's details are pre-filled for you.
- Choose where to apply
- Select the Area Type (Propagation, Vegetative, Flowering, or Mother).
- To treat a whole room, leave Apply to Entire Area switched on and select the Area.
- To treat one group, switch Apply to Entire Area off, select the Group, and optionally narrow to a Strain (or leave it as All strains).
- Pick the additive
- Tap Additive Item and search by name or SKU, or tap the scan icon and scan the item's barcode. Only items with Plant Additive enabled appear. Each row shows the SKU, unit, and quantity on hand.
- If the item has more than one lot, pick the lot to draw from; lots are listed newest first, with their received date and on-hand quantity. Tap Change on the selected item if you need to switch.
- Enter the quantity
- Type the amount in the Quantity to Apply field. The label shows the item's unit of measure, and the on-hand amount is displayed underneath.
- If you enter more than is available, the app warns "Quantity exceeds available stock" and won't let you save.
- Set the date and add notes
- The Date and Time defaults to now. Tap the calendar or clock icons to backdate an application.
- Optionally tap Notes to add details (up to 500 characters).
- Save and confirm
- Tap Save to review the confirmation screen. It shows what you're applying, the lot, the quantity, how much will remain, and where it's going.
- Tap Confirm & Save. You'll see "Plant additives applied."
- Apply again in secondsAfter saving, the form reopens with the same area, group, and strain pre-filled. Just pick the next additive and quantity. This makes working through a feeding schedule fast.
Best Practices:
- Set up your additives in the Item Master before the crew heads into the rooms. Items without the Apply to Plants flag won't appear in the picker.
- Scan the item's SKU barcode instead of searching when your additive containers are labeled. It's faster and avoids picking the wrong product.
- BioTrack facilities: apply by group rather than entire area so each application syncs cleanly to the state system. Propagation areas aren't available for BioTrack facilities.
Troubleshooting:
- "Item not found or not a plant additive": The scanned barcode doesn't match an item with Apply to Plants enabled. Check the item's setup in the Item Master.
- "Quantity exceeds available stock": You're applying more than the selected lot has on hand. Reduce the quantity or select a different lot.
- Save button stays disabled: Make sure you've selected an area (or group), an additive item, and a quantity greater than zero.
- Leaving the form: If you tap Cancel with unsaved changes, the app asks before discarding them.
