Mobile App - Harvest - Record Weights, Move, and Package

Record harvest weights via Bluetooth scales or manual entry in Grow mobile. Track wet/dry weights, move harvests through stages, and package into inventory per compliance.

Before you start:

  • You'll need mobile access to the Grow module, with permissions for the harvest actions your team performs (creating harvests, moving groups, recording waste, and notes are each permission-gated). Your Flourish admin manages these under Settings > User Roles.
  • Which weight types you can record (Whole, Flower, Trim, Waste, Popcorn, Fan Leaf) is controlled by your facility configuration and your state compliance system. See the compliance notes throughout this guide.
  • To weigh hands-free, you'll need a Bluetooth scale that's compatible with your device.

Find Your Harvests

  1. Open the Grow module and go to Harvests
    • From the app home screen, tap Cultivation, then tap Harvest.
    • On the Select a Harvest Type screen, tap Harvests in Progress.
  2. Browse the Harvest and Drying list
    • Use the tabs at the top to switch between your facility's harvest stages (for example Drying and Processing).
    • Each harvest card shows the harvest name, harvest date, area, strain, and plant count. A harvest with multiple strains shows a STRAINS badge and a row per strain — tap a strain row to open the harvest with that strain selected.
  3. Search and sort
    • Type in the Search Harvest Name… bar to jump straight to a harvest.
    • Tap the sort label to switch between Date (oldest first)Date (newest first)Name (A–Z), and Name (Z–A).

Start a New Harvest

  1. Open the new harvest formFrom Cultivation > Harvest, tap New Harvest (or New Manicure Harvest for a manicure).
  2. Fill in the harvest details
    • Select the From Area and To Area.
    • Enter a Harvest Name — the app confirms when the name is available.
    • Set the Harvest Date and select the Group to harvest.
  3. Tap "Start Harvest"You'll land on the harvest screen, ready to record weights.

Harvest a Group by Scanning a Plant

You can also start from a plant in the room:

  1. Scan a plant tag and open the plant's Group.
  2. Tap Harvest Group.
  3. Choose New Harvest or Existing Harvest:
    • New Harvest: the Harvest Name defaults to the group name — adjust it, select the To Area (Dry), and set the Harvest Date.
    • Existing Harvest: pick the harvest from the Select Harvest list.
  4. Tap Start Harvest.

The Harvest Screen at a Glance

Tap any harvest to open its dashboard:

  • Header — harvest name (tap Edit to rename), date, area, and total plant count. For multi-strain harvests, use the strain selector to switch strains.
  • PLANTS WEIGHED — a progress bar showing how many plants have been weighed (harvest stage only).
  • Weight cards — running totals for each enabled weight type (Whole, Flower, Trim, Waste, and others your facility has enabled), with the amount remaining to package. BioTrack facilities see Trim labeled as* Other**.*
  • Record Wet Weights — the primary action (reads Record Dry Weights in the drying stage).
  • Move Harvest / Log Waste / Notes — secondary actions.
  • RECENT RECORDS — the latest plant records; tap View All to see every record, or tap a record to edit it.
  • Package Weights — pinned at the bottom; creates an inventory package from recorded weights (not available for BioTrack facilities on mobile — see below).

Record Plant Weights with a Bluetooth Scale

Connecting a scale is the fastest way to weigh a harvest — scan a plant, set it on the scale, and the app captures the weight automatically.

  1. Choose Bluetooth capture
    • On the harvest screen, tap Record Wet Weights (or Record Dry Weights).
    • Tap Bluetooth Weight Capture.
  2. Connect your scale
    • On the Session Setup screen, tap the Bluetooth Scale card, then tap Tap to connect.
    • Pick your scale from the Select Scale list. If nothing appears, make sure the scale is powered on, then try Show all devices….
  3. Choose your session options
    • Auto-Advance Mode: choose whether the app automatically advances when the weight is stable, or waits for you to tap Next after each plant.
    • Non-compliance facilities can also pick the Weight Type to record.
  4. Tap "Start Session"
  5. Weigh each plant
    • Scan Plant Tag — scan the RFID tag or enter the barcode.
    • The app confirms the Plant IDStrain, and Location, then prompts Place plant on scale.
    • When the reading stabilizes you'll see Weight Captured! — scan the next plant, or tap Reweigh to redo it.
  6. Finish upTap Back to Harvest when you're done. The PLANTS WEIGHED progress and weight totals update as you go.

Compliance note: In the harvest stage, Metrc facilities record the Whole wet weight per plant. BioTrack and non-compliance facilities record the weight types enabled for your facility. BioTrack facilities that want per-plant weighing need it enabled first — contact Flourish Support if you don't see plant IDs on your harvest log. (BioTrack 1.0: plant weights can't be changed after they've been reported to the state. BioTrack 2.0 allows corrections.)

Weigh by Bin Instead of by Plant

If your facility doesn't track individual plant IDs, the same scale session works bin-by-bin:

  1. Start a Bluetooth session as above — the app prompts Scan Bin instead of a plant tag.
  2. Scan the bin's barcode, place the bin on the scale, and the captured weight is added as a row on the harvest log.
  3. Repeat for each bin, then tap End Session.

Record Plant Weights Manually

No scale handy? You can still enter weights by hand:

  1. On the harvest screen, tap Record Wet Weights (or Record Dry Weights), then tap Manual Capture.
  2. Tap Scan Plant Tags to Harvest and scan a plant tag — or tap Or Select Manually and choose from the Select Plant ID list.
  3. On the New Record screen:
    • Optionally enter a Ref Container (tap Use Next to auto-number containers).
    • Enter the weight(s) for the plant — the fields shown match your facility's enabled weight types.
    • Tap Save Record.
  4. Repeat for each plant. Use the pencil icon to edit a saved record, or the delete icon to remove one.
  5. Tap Done Harvesting when you're finished.

Move a Harvest

Move a harvest to a new area — including from the harvest stage into drying:

  1. On the harvest screen, tap Move Harvest.
  2. Select the destination area and confirm on the Confirm Move Harvest screen.
  3. After moving to drying, the harvest appears under your Drying tab.

Compliance note: For Metrc and BioTrack facilities, wet weights must be recorded and the harvest synced with the state system before it can move stages.

Log Waste and Notes

  • Tap Log Waste on the harvest screen to record waste weight against the harvest.
  • Tap Notes to add a note (choose New Note or review Existing Notes).
  • Metrc facilities: Coming Soon

Package Harvest Weights into Inventory

Turn recorded weights into an inventory package without leaving the app. You can package from the harvest stage (for example, wet material headed for the freezer) or the drying stage (the typical path into inventory).

Not available for BioTrack facilities on mobile. BioTrack packaging flows run through the web app.
  1. Start the packageOn the harvest screen, tap Package Weights (pinned at the bottom).
  2. Enter the weight
    • Check the stage badge (Harvest or Drying) and strain — tap Change to switch strains.
    • Pick the Weight Bucket (only weight types your facility has enabled appear).
    • The card shows the Weight Available to Package; enter the Package Weight.
    • Tap Next: Package Details.
  3. Fill in package details
    • Metrc facilities: assign a Package Tag — tap Scan Package Tag or select one manually.
    • Select the Area, confirm the Lot Number (auto-filled from the harvest name), and select the Item. Items offered are scoped to the harvest's strain and the item's source type.
    • Tap Review & Confirm.
  4. Review and createCheck the summary, adjust the Created Date/Time if needed (tap Tap to change), and tap Create Package.
  5. Keep going or wrap upThe success screen shows the Remaining to Package balance (or Fully Packaged). Tap Package More Weight to create another package, or Back to Harvest.

Compliance note: For Metrc facilities, the harvest must be synced and wet weights reported to the state before packaging.

BioTrack Florida: Schedule Your Harvest

BioTrack Florida requires harvests to be scheduled with the state system. On the harvest screen, BioTrack FL facilities see a Schedule Harvest button — tap it to schedule (it changes to Unschedule Harvest once scheduled). Until a harvest is scheduled and synced, actions like recording waste, moving the harvest, and notes stay locked.

Troubleshooting

  • "No scales found" when connecting — make sure the scale is powered on and in range, then reopen Select Scale and try Show all devices…. The app will ask for Bluetooth and Location permission the first time; it's required to connect a scale.
  • "Another user is editing plant" while scanning — another session holds a lock on that plant. Wait a moment and rescan; if it persists, contact Flourish Support.
  • "Packaging is not enabled for this stage" — packaging from this stage is switched off in your facility configuration; your admin can review it, or contact Flourish Support.
  • Weight columns look wrong or missing — the columns shown match your facility's enabled weight types and compliance system. If something's missing, check your facility configuration on the web app.
  • "Facility settings have not been correctly loaded. Please log in again." — log out and back in to refresh your facility configuration.
