Print Package Labels from the Flourish Mobile App
Purpose: This article is for teams printing package labels straight from the Flourish Android app to a Zebra label printer over Bluetooth or the facility network — no trip back to a workstation.
Before you start:
- Bluetooth printers must be paired with the device first in Android's Bluetooth settings.
- Network printers must be set up for your facility in the web app with their IP address. [VERIFY: settings path]
- Printing uses your facility's ZPL label templates — the same templates as the web app.
Where you can print from:
- A package's detail screen → Print Labels
- Multiple packages at once — scan them into the inventory action queue and choose Print Labels
- Right after creating packages (create, split, convert, combine, or take lab sample) — the app asks "Print a label for the new package?" — tap Print or Not Now
- The harvest Package Weights success screen → Print Labels
- An inbound transfer's receive screen, once packages are received → Print Labels
Steps:
- Choose what to print
- Pick the Label Type: Package Label or Unit Barcode.
- Pick the Label Template — Facility default uses your facility's default template for that type.
- Set the number of Copies.
- Select the printer
- Tap the printer card (Tap to select printer). The first time, allow the Bluetooth permission when prompted.
- The Select Printer list shows your facility's network label printers and nearby paired Bluetooth printers. If your printer isn't listed, tap Show all devices….
- Print
Tap Print. You'll see "Labels sent to printer." The app remembers your printer choice for next time.
Troubleshooting:
- "No printers found" — pair the Bluetooth printer in Android Settings, or check that the network printer is configured for your facility with an IP address.
- "Could not connect to printer" — make sure the printer is powered on and in range (Bluetooth) or reachable on the network; the app waits up to 20 seconds.
- "Bluetooth is off" — turn on Bluetooth, or pick a network printer instead.
- "This template is not a ZPL template and can't be printed from the device" — that template is image-based; choose a ZPL template or print it from the web app.
- "This printer is paired over Bluetooth LE, which the app can't print to" — re-pair the printer over Bluetooth Classic in Android Settings, or use its network address.
