Mobile App Inventory: Locate Package

Before you start:

• Your mobile user role needs the Locate Inventory permission under Mobile Application > Inventory.
• Areas and locations must be set up in the web app first.

Locate by scanning (fastest):

1. Open the Inventory module and go to the All Inventory tab.
2. Scan the inventory's label. The app recognizes lot numbers, UPCs, SKUs, and part numbers.If a lot number is shared by more than one item, the app asks which item you mean.
3. Keep scanning to queue up multiple items, then tap View Actions.
   • One item scanned: you'll see the item's detail screen — choose Locate Inventory.
   • Multiple items scanned: you'll go straight into a bulk locate for everything in the queue.
4. On the Locate Inventory screen, check the lots you're moving and enter the quantity for each — move all of it or just part.
5. Select the Area and (optionally) the Location, then tap Locate Inventory. You'll see "Inventory located successfully."

Locate manually:

1. Open the Inventory module and go to the All Inventory tab.
2. Filter by item name and select the item (Raw Materials or Supplies).
3. Tap Locate Inventory, select the Area and Location, enter the quantity to relocate, and confirm.

Troubleshooting:

• The Locate button isn't visible — your role is missing the Locate Inventory permission; ask your admin.
• A lot won't accept the quantity — you can't move more than the lot has on hand in that area; check the available amount shown per lot.
