Enable Syncing of Outbound Orders to Quickbooks

If you have an active Quickbooks integration, you can manage which users can sync Outbound orders to Quickbooks.

By default, users cannot sync Outbound orders to Quickbooks. Such users will not be able to set an automatic sync of invoices to QuickBooks Online.

A user can sync Outbound orders to QuickBooks Online only if their User Role has 'On' the permission to .

For our clients already with an active QBO integration, all users that had Update Outbound Orders enabled, the ability to sync orders to QBO has been enabled.

Manage the user access

Follow the steps below to set the user roles to enable or disable the ability to sync Outbound orders to Quickbooks.

  1. Click  Settings.
  2. Select User Roles.
  3. Make sure to select the facility you need.
  4. Click the  icon to CONFIGURE.
  5. Locate the Outbound card.
  6. Next to the Update line on the Outbound card, click  to configure the Actions for the Admin Inventory modal.

  1. Toggle 'On' Sync orders to Quickbooks.

  1. Close the modal.
  2. Click Save.
Log in and log out to see the setting updates take effect.
View for users that can sync to Quickbooks

Users who have Sync orders to QuickBooks enabled will see the green Quickbooks icon on the All Orders table next to the Order ID and the Sync to QuickBooks button on the Order details page. Learn more about syncing to Outbound Orders here.

View for users that can not sync to Quickbooks

Users who do not have Sync orders to QuickBooks enabled will not see any icons or buttons to sync to QuickBooks in the Outbound module.
