Creating Locations and Areas
Areas and Locations are managed by each Flourish Facility. The Area Type is used to distinguish functionality such as a plant's stage in cultivation. Here's how to set up new Areas and even more granular Locations.
Cultivators must create Areas for each stage of cultivation, ie Clone, Vegetation, Flower, Harvest, & Processing.

Creating Areas and Locations
Add New Area
- Open Flourish Software and navigate to Manage Settings by clicking the gearbox icon in the top right corner of the screen
- Click Facilities
- Select the Eye Icon next to the facility you are adding a new area to View Areas
- Click Add New
- Type in the new Area Name and select the Area Type
- Click Save
- Congratulations! You have successfully created a New Area
Add New Location
Locations add an extra layer of granularity for those using Flourish to physically track inventory. Locations are mapped under an existing area, ie Shelf A in Storage Room B. Inventory Area Types are the only Areas that can have Locations in Flourish, meaning you cannot creation locations within cultivation or processing areas.
- Navigate to the View Areas table for the facility you want to add the location to
- Click the green eye icon under the Locations column for the Area you want to add a Location to
- Click Add New Location
- Fill out the New Location Name and click Add Location
- Congratulations! You have just created a new Location
