Florida BioTrack Inventory Destruction

This document is specific to the Florida BioTrack STS Integration for Flourish Software

The BioTrack STS system and state of Florida require documenting inventory destruction. This is seperate from adjust inventory to correct mistakes. This workflow is for physically destroying cannabis (packaged) inventory on hand.

If you need to destroy a partial package, please split the quantity into a new barcode using Flourish's "Create Package" menu option.

Schedule Destruction

There is a 72-hour waiting period to complete the destruction process.

  1. Locate the package you wish to mark for destruction, and use the "Schedule for destruction" menu action to initiate this process.
  2. Choose a Reason for Destruction and enter a Disposal Note as a comment.
  3. Navigate to Inventory > Waste Log to view the packages scheduled for destruction in the waste log.
    You can customize the column views in this screen.
  4. After the state-mandated waiting period, select one or more packages to mark as destroyed. Use the Destroy option in the Action menu to complete the destruction process. Select the Disposal Date and click "Proceed" to complete this process.

Un-schedule Destruction

If a barcode is accidently marked for destruction, a user can "un-schedule" the destruction to make it available in inventory.

  1. Navigate to the barcode in the All Packages screen
    Create a view to easily navigate to these packages
  2. Use the Status filter to find the packages under the status of "Scheduled for Destruction".

  3. Click "Unschedule Destruction" to revert the package to active inventory.

Generally a non-physical mistake would be handled with an Inventory Adjustment. An example of a mistake could be an error in combining ingredients during the manufacturing process that renders the material unusable.

Product Return

If accepting back a product that is no longer sellable, use this to document the destruction.

Quality Control

Inventory that doesn't meet QC requirements and is not usable.

Spoilage

Inventory that spoils and is not usable.

Unhealthy or Died

Generally used for plant material.

Waste

Waste containing controlled substances that will be disposed of using this workflow.
