Create Items in Bulk

Non-METRC users can use the "Bulk Create Items" tool to create multiple items at once from a spreadsheet.


Your User Role must have the "Bulk update items (update company item master)".

" toggled 'On.'

To do that:

  1. Click  Settings.
  2. Select User Roles.
  3. Make sure to select the facility you need.
  4. Click the  icon to CONFIGURE.
  5. Locate the Admin Card.
  6. Next to the Inventory line on the Admin Card, click  to configure the Actions for the Admin Inventory modal.
  7. Toggle 'On' Bulk update items (update company item master).
  8. Close the modal.
  9. Click Save.
Log in and log out to see the setting updates take effect.

Bulk Create Items

  1. Click  Settings.
  2. Select Inventory.
  3. Select Items / All Items.
  4. Click Bulk Update Items.
  5. On the top-right, click Bulk Create.
  6. Follow the instructions on the page, and read the NOTE carefully:
  7. The Item Column Descriptions part of the page describes the information on the CSV file and how to handle it.
  8. Open the CSV file.
  9. Remove the example data on the first line.
  10. Type the data.
  11. Click .
  12. Click UPLOAD.
  13. Resolve the validation and create new items!

Good to know!

* Do not delete columns.
* Remove the example data.
* Do not change the order of the columns.
