Entering in Dry Weights and Creating Packages from Harvest

Purpose

This article shows how to record the dry weight of a harvest after processing, then create an inventory package from that same harvest. Recording the dry weight lets you track how much usable material a harvest yields before you convert it into packaged inventory.

Prerequisites

• The harvest must already be moved to the Processing tab.
• Your user role must include permission to create packages in the Grow module.
• The item you want to package needs a Source Type that matches an enabled harvest weight bucket. For example, an item with Source Type Flower requires the Flower weight bucket to be turned on. See Harvest Packages and Configuration for setup details.

Record Dry Weight on a Harvest

1. Select Grow from the left navigation.
2. Click Drying in the top ribbon.
3. Click Drying Harvests.
4. Select the harvest you want to update.
5. Click Edit Harvest Dry Weight.
6. Enter the weight in the appropriate column, for example Dry Flower Wt or Dry Trim Wt.
7. Click Done.

Create a Package from the Harvest

1. Click Actions for the harvest.
2. Select Create package from harvest.
3. Click Select an Item.
4. Select the item you want to package, for example Bulk Flower.
5. Enter the Number of Packages to create.
6. Enter the Quantity per Package.
7. Click Review & Confirm.
8. Click the calendar icon and select the Date of Creation.
9. Select the Area for the new package. This is optional.
10. Select the Location for the new package. This is optional.
11. Enter the Lot Number.
12. Enter Reference Notes. This is optional.
13. Click Create New Inventory.

View the New Package

1. Select Inventory from the left navigation to view the package you created.
