Prevent Users from Exporting Grid Data

Purpose

By default, users can export data from any Flourish table, such as All Packages, All Orders, and All Purchase Orders. You can control this at the User Role level. When Export data from all application grids is unchecked for a role, users with that role can no longer export data from any grid. Every existing role has this permission checked by default, so no user sees a change in behavior unless you update it.

Prerequisites

You need access to User Roles in Settings.

Manage the User Access

1. Click the gear icon (Settings).
2. Select User Roles.
3. Select the facility you need.
4. Click the Configure icon next to the role.
5. Locate the Application Settings card.
6. Uncheck the box for Export data from all application grids to disable exporting for this role.
7. Click Save.

Log out and log back in to see the change.

What Users See: Export Enabled

Users who have Export data from all application grids turned on will see the Export to Excel button on the top right of the table in view.

What Users See: Export Disabled

Users with Export data from all application grids unchecked do not see the Export to Excel button in the top right of the table view.
