Retail — Standard and Advanced Discounts

Purpose

Flourish offers two discount types. Use Standard to take a dollar or percentage amount off a purchase, a line, or selected items. Use Advanced when the cart must meet a condition before the customer receives a deal, such as BOGO or bundle pricing.

Standard Discounts

New discounts default to Standard. Select one method under The Details:

• Customer gets $X off the entire purchase
• Customer gets X% off the entire purchase
• Customer gets $X off a purchase line
• Customer gets X% off a purchase line
• Customer gets $X EACH off the following items
• Customer gets X% off the following items
• Customer gets X qty of the following items for $Y total

Add Eligibility Rules

1. Select Specific next to Eligible items.
2. Click Item, Brand, Category, or Tag.
3. Search for the item, brand, category, or tag you want.
4. Select the result to add it to the Included or Excluded list.
5. Click the rule's toggle to switch it off and exclude it.

In this example, the discount applies to all Banana Stand items except items tagged Clearance.

Advanced Discounts

An Advanced discount has two parts:

• The Details (left side of the page) sets what the customer must buy or spend.
• The Deal (right side of the page) sets what the customer receives.

The qualifying items and discounted items can use different rules.

The Details

• When a customer buys X qty of the following items
• When a customer spends $X TOTAL on the following items

The Deal

• Customer gets X% off the entire purchase
• Customer gets $X total off the entire purchase
• Customer gets X% off qty Y eligible items
• Customer gets $X total off qty Y eligible items
• Customer gets $X off EACH eligible item
• Customer gets EACH of the eligible items for a fixed price of $X
• Customer gets the BUNDLE of X qty eligible items for a fixed total price of $Y

Deal rules are optional. If you add no rules, the deal applies to any item.

Preview Eligible Items

1. Navigate to Manage Settings > Retail > Discounts.
2. Click the discount name.
3. Click the eye icon in the discount's rules.
4. Select the Eligible or Not Eligible tab to review the items.

For Advanced discounts, preview the rules in both The Details and The Deal.

Example: Buy Four Edibles, Get 50% Off a Pre-Roll

The Details

• Method: When a customer buys X qty of the following items, quantity 4
• Include the Edibles (each) category
• Exclude the HUSH brand

The Deal

• Method: Customer gets X% off qty Y eligible items, 50% off quantity 1
• Include the Non-Infused (Plain) Pre-Roll category
