This document is specific to the Florida BioTrack STS Integration for Flourish Software

The Manufacturing Module in Flourish Software is used to schedule and complete manufacturing operations. This module is particularly useful to users who want to plan work, see work in progress, and document what process type and machine/workstation that work took place on.

There are two workflows within this module.

Work Orders with BOMs

This workflow is used to create a product with a defined set of inputs. Set up a bill of materials (BOM) in the Settings for an item. Define BOMs at either the item-level (ex: components to make one vape cart) or batch-level (ex: components to make a 1 KG of infused gummies). Refer to this help document for step-by-step instructions on setting up the BOM.

Be sure to set up BOMs aligned with the Florida BioTrack Category Conversion Matrix. BioTrack validates certain business rules when converting inventory.

Work Orders without BOMs (Manufacturing Runs)

This workflow is designed to handle one or more inputs to create one or more outputs without calling a bill of materials. Examples of where this is typically uses are Flower Processing and Extraction.

Flourish will pre-filter items in the output selector according to the Florida BioTrack Category Conversion Matrix. BioTrack validates certain business rules when converting inventory. This ensures that the user can successfully complete the manufacturing job.

External Lab Test Result

The External Lab Test Result column in the Packages grid, located next to the Sync Status column by default, displays the BioTrack lab/QA status for each package. Values include PASSED, FAILED, PENDING, or Blank. You can adjust the column’s position in the grid settings and rename (alias) it to fit your workflow.

Important to know:

  1. Click the Refresh button next to the Package ID to sync lab test results from BioTrack.
  2. Ensure the source package has a PASSED External Lab Test Result before splitting it. If the source package’s result is Blank at the time of splitting, the descendants will also show Blank, even if the source package updates later.
  3. You can split packages with a PENDING lab result, and the descendants will inherit the lab result once it’s resolved.
  4. Keep cannabis products in PASSED status before transferring them to retail locations.
