Creating a Package from Harvest

Purpose

Creating a package from harvest converts dried or processed harvest material into trackable inventory. Use this workflow to turn harvest output — Flower, Trim, Fresh Frozen, and other item types — into packages you can store, move, transfer, sell, or sync to METRC.

Packaging deducts the quantity you enter from the available weight already recorded on the harvest.

Prerequisites

• Your user role must include permission to create packages in the Grow module.
• The item you want to package needs a Source Type that matches an enabled harvest weight bucket. For example, an item with Source Type Flower requires the Flower weight bucket to be turned on and to have a recorded weight. See Harvest Packages and Configuration for setup details.

Create a Package from Harvest

1. Select Grow from the left navigation.
2. Click Drying in the top ribbon.
3. Click Drying Harvests.
4. Select the harvest you want to package.
5. Click Actions for that harvest.
6. Select Create package from harvest.
7. Click Select an Item.
8. Select the item you want to package, for example Bulk Flower.
9. Enter the Number of Packages to create. This is usually always 1.
10. Enter the Quantity per Package. You can use the Allocate All button as well.
11. Click Review & Confirm.
12. Click the calendar icon and select the Date of Creation.
13. Select the Area for the new package.
14. Select the Location for the new package. This is optional.
15. Enter the Lot Number. For METRC facilities, enter the METRC Package ID.
16. Enter Reference Notes, if applicable. This is optional.
17. Click Create New Inventory.

View the New Package

1. Select Inventory from the left navigation to view the package you created.
