Point of Sale Cash Drawer Configuration

Configure the command to send to the cash drawer for point of sale

Flourish supports the cash drawers listed on our supported hardware page. Flourish supports sending the following commands to a cash drawer to open it.

  • Epson
  • Epson TM-T88
  • Epson TM-T88 Alt
  • Star TSP 100I/II
  • Star TSP 100III
  • Star TSP 100III (Drawer 1)
  • Star TSP 100III (Drawer 2)
  • Star TSP 143III LAN
The default command sent to a cash drawer is Epson.

Change the settings

Ensure the user point of sale permission "Change drawer kick command" is toggled 'On'. See more below.

To change the setting, follow this procedure:

  1. Navigate to the Point of Sale on the computer you wish to use.
  2. Click the print icon on the top right.
  3. Select the Drawer Kick Command corresponding
    to the cash drawer you are using.
  4. Click Test this and Close.
You must have a receipt printer selected for the test. If you don't, the system will display this message:
The setting is saved in the cache on the browser you use to set it. Clearing the cache will require you to re-perform the above steps. The setting will persist across all Flourish users for this browser.

Prerequisite

Toggle 'On' the User POS Permission "Change drawer kick command".

  1. Click  Settings.
  2. Select User Roles.
  3. Make sure to select the facility you need.
  4. Select Point of Sale.
  5. Click the pencil icon next to the role to configure.
  6. Toggle 'On' "Change drawer kick command":
  7. Click .
