METRC Integration with Flourish Software

Flourish provides a comprehensive integration with METRC, the state-mandated track-and-trace system for cannabis compliance. This integration supports cultivation, manufacturing, distribution, and retail operations.

Overview

Flourish performs two-way data synchronization with METRC:

• Reverse Sync: Automatically imports your historical and active METRC data into Flourish.
• Forward Sync: Sends updates from Flourish to METRC in real time.
• Full Sync: Runs automatically each night and can be triggered manually at any time.

Flourish also queues outbound messages when METRC is down and resubmits them once service is restored.

Requirements

To enable METRC integration, you will need:

• Your State License Number
• Facility API Key
• User API Key(s) for each user needing access

Getting Started with METRC + Flourish

If you’re not yet live with METRC, Flourish offers a streamlined onboarding process:

1. Implement and start using Flourish for your operation type (Cultivation, Manufacturing, Distribution, Retail, or all).
2. Complete METRC training.
3. Provide Flourish with:
   • State License Number
   • API Key(s) for each user
   • Your plant and package tag numbers
4. Perform a full inventory count in Flourish to ensure accuracy.
5. Apply METRC tags to your inventory in Flourish.
6. Flourish will then sync the following to METRC:
   • Grow Rooms (clone, veg, flowering, drying)
   • Strains
   • Plants
   • Items (from the Flourish Item Master)
   • Destinations (address info must be manually updated in Flourish)

Once this process is complete, you’ll be live and fully integrated with METRC.

Managing Changes in METRC

Certain actions must still be completed directly in METRC due to API limitations. These include:

• Updating a plant’s strain before harvest
• Changing the item of a package
• Creating lab samples and submitting to labs (in some states)

Flourish continuously monitors METRC updates and enhances the integration to maintain full compliance.
