Harvest Fresh Frozen in Connecticut BioTrack

Record a fresh frozen harvest in Flourish for Connecticut BioTrack: enter wet flower weight, cure the same day with Dry Fresh Frozen, then lot and convert.

Record a fresh frozen harvest in Flourish and sync it to Connecticut BioTrack. BioTrack has no separate fresh-frozen step, so fresh-frozen material goes through the normal harvest and cure. Recording the cure weight in the Dry Fresh Frozen column keeps it labeled as fresh frozen in your Flourish reporting, so it isn't counted as dried flower.

Connecticut BioTrack only. For Metrc and non-integrated facilities, see Package Fresh Frozen from Wet Weight.

Prerequisites

  • Fresh frozen weight is turned on in Settings > Configuration > Drying. This adds the Dry Fresh Frozen column to the harvest log.
  • The plants are in a scheduled harvest. See Connecticut BioTrack Cultivation Guide.

What BioTrack Records

Step

You enter in Flourish

BioTrack records

Harvest

Wet Flower

Wet Flower weight on the plants. No package is created.

Cure

Dry Fresh Frozen

A Flower package for that weight.

Record the Harvest

  1. Select the harvest group and click Edit Harvest Wet Weights.
  2. Enter the full harvest weight in Wet Flower. Enter any waste in Wet Waste.
  3. Click Done.
  4. Click Sync Harvest, select the strains, and click Proceed with Sync.

Cure the Same Day

BioTrack only creates inventory when you cure, and a cure requires a flower or fresh-frozen dry weight above zero. Cure right away so the frozen material is in inventory before you process it.

  1. Move the harvest to the Drying stage.
  2. Click Edit Harvest Dry Weights.
  3. Enter the frozen weight in Dry Fresh Frozen and leave Dry Flower empty. Because nothing has dried, this is usually the same as the wet weight. Enter any waste in Dry Waste.
  4. Click Done.
  5. Click Cure at the top of the harvest log, then confirm.

The cure creates a Flower package (item Flower - Strain Name) and a Waste package if you entered waste. Find them in Harvest Packages and in Inventory.

Tip: To show the package as fresh frozen in Flourish, create an item such as Fresh Frozen - Strain Name in the Flower category with the same strain, then use Change Item on the package. BioTrack still records it as Flower.

Lot and Convert to Extract

In Connecticut, a Flower package can only become a Flower Lot. Extracts are made from the Flower Lot. See Connecticut BioTrack Category Conversions.

  1. In Inventory, find the Flower package and click Action > Create Package.
  2. Click Use Package as Source, then Lot, and create the Flower Lot.
  3. From the Flower Lot, click Action > Create Package, then Convert, and select your extract item (for example, Hydrocarbon Extract or Bubble Hash). To send the lot to a processor instead, add it to an outbound order and manifest it.

Full steps: Create Inventory Packages After Harvest in Connecticut BioTrack.

BioTrack labels the package Flower. Nothing on the BioTrack package says fresh frozen. If your processor or the state needs it identified, note "fresh frozen" on the manifest or COA.

Troubleshooting

If you see

Do this

"Please declare Dry Flower" when you click Cure

Enter the frozen weight in Dry Fresh Frozen (or Dry Flower). BioTrack won't cure a strain with only waste or trim.

Dried and fresh frozen flower in one Flower package

BioTrack combines all flower from one strain's cure into one package. Harvest fresh frozen plants separately from plants you'll dry.

No Dry Fresh Frozen column on the harvest log

Turn on Fresh frozen weight in Settings > Configuration > Drying.
