Duplicate an Item to Create a New Item and Clone BOMs

Creating a new item in Flourish’s Item Master is simple. You can either build a new item from scratch or duplicate an existing one.

Duplicating an Item

1. Go to Manage Settings.
2. Select Inventory.
3. Locate the item you want to duplicate.
4. Click Duplicate – Flourish Software opens a new item creation screen and copies the item data fields (see the tip below).

   

5. Review and edit the required data fields marked with “...... already exists.”
   1. Name – You must rename the item.
   2. SKU – You can leave this field empty; Flourish generates a new SKU when you save.
   3. Retail Display Name – You can leave this field empty; Flourish generates a new Retail Display Name upon saving.
   4. Part Number (For the applicable States) - You must enter a new Part Number.

      

6. Adjust any other data fields as needed for the new item.
7. Click Save.
8. Note the success message.

   

   These fields are cloned from the original item: Type, Class, Category, UOM, Measurement Type (if “UOM” is “Each”), Unit Weight (if “UOM” is “Each”), Serving Size in Grams, Ref Fields 1, 2, and 3, Cost, Price, Reorder Point, Unit CBD/THC Percent, CBD per Unit, THC per Unit, Source Type, Brand, Product Line, Description, Product Image, and all defined item “Rules.”

Clone The Source Item BOM

If the source item had a Bill of Materials (BOM), you can clone it:

1. Select Bill of Materials.
2. Choose Clone an existing (you can also choose to create a new BOM)

   

3. Select the Item to clone from
4. Enter the Bill of Materials information
5. Click Clone BOM

   

6. Edit the components:
   1. Click Edit.
   2. Add or remove components as needed.
   3. Click the √ mark to save the component line
   4. To edit a component, click the pencil icon on the component line.

7. Click Save

METRC users

After you click Save, select the METRC facilities you want to sync the new item. Flourish displays the "Choose Facilities for Item Sync" screen. This screen displays the facilities that are associated with your METRC API key.

1. Keep the toggle ON if you want to create the new item for the facility. Toggle OFF if you wish not to create the item in the facility.
