Create a Single Plants Batch

If the Flourish user creating plants does not have permission in METRC to create or update items, and no valid item already exists for the clone package, METRC will return an error at this step.”

California (CA)

  1. Go to Propagation and select Create Plants.
  2. Select In Room
  3. Select Strain
  4. Select Source - select from:
    1. Clones from Immature Plant Group
    2. Clones from Flower Group
    3. Plant from a Package
      select source
  5. Select the specific Package/Group.
  6. Select the Source Package Qty/Source Plant Batch/Source Plant
  7. Enter Total Plants to Create. The maximum allowed in CA is 100 plants.
  8. Assign the plants to a group; Select Existing to add plants to an existing group, or Select New and enter a New Group Name.
  9. Select the Available Package Tag (Package tag selection is required. This field is required in CA. This will create an interim package that will be consumed in the process)
  10. Select the Plant Batch Tag.
  11. Set the Create Date/Time.
  12. Click Generate New Plant IDs.
  13. Confirm the new IDs.

Non-California (Non-CA)

  1. Go to Propagation and select Create Plants.
  2. Select In Room
  3. Select Strain
  4. Select Source - select from:
    1. Clones from Immature Plant Group
    2. Clones from Mother Group
    3. Clones from Veg Group
    4. Clones from Flower Group
    5. Plant from a Package
  5. Select the specific Package/Group.
  6. Select the Source Package Qty/Source Plant Batch/Source Plant
  7. Enter Total Plants to Create.
  8. Assign the plants to a group, or select Existing to add plants to an existing group, or select New and enter a New Group Name.
  9. Enter or select the Plant Batch Name.
  10. Set the Create Date/Time.
  11. Click Generate New Plant IDs.
  12. Confirm the New IDs.

Create Multiple Plant batches

Overview

Create one or multiple clone batches in a single workflow by entering shared details once and configuring all clone sets on one screen. Assign clones to one or more strains in the same action and reduce repetitive data entry.

This workflow is available only for METRC-integrated facilities and requires Create Plants permissions. Flourish automatically enforces METRC state rules, hiding or blocking options that are not valid for your state or for clone creation.

Summary of Differences: CA vs Non-CA Plant Creation

• Source selection CA shows a limited set of source options compared to non-CA states. Non-CA states may include additional source group options depending on state rules.

• Package / tag requirement CA requires selecting an available Package Tag when using Plant from a Package. Non-CA states do not require a package tag selection.

• Plant batch field CA uses Plant Batch Tag. Non-CA states use Plant Batch Name.

• Plant count limit CA enforces a maximum of 100 plants per creation. Non-CA states do not enforce this specific limit.

• Compliance behavior CA follows stricter METRC-driven requirements. Non-CA flows are more flexible and vary by state configuration.

Creating Multiple Plant Batches

1. Access "Create Plant Batches" Screen
  1. Go to Grow
  2. Select Propagation/Create multiple plant batches to access the "Create Plant Batches" Screen

2. Enter shared details
  1. Select the Area.
  2. Select an existing Group or enter a new group name.
  3. Set the Plant Date.
These values apply to all planting sets in the workflow.

2. Configure planting sets

For each set, select or enter

  1. Strain.
  2. Origin Plant.
  3. Plant origin type (Clone or Tissue Culture, state dependent).
  4. New Plant Batch tag.
  5. Additional New Plant Batch tag, if applicable.
  6. Plants per tag.

Flourish displays the number of plant batches and total plants that will be created as you enter this information.

If you are creating a single batch or one set, skip step 3 and proceed to step 4.
3. Add additional sets

Click + Add Set to add another set of plant batches and repeat the configuration steps.

4. Review and submit

Review all planting sets for accuracy, then click Create Plants. Flourish creates all plant batches and plants in a single operation and syncs them to METRC.

What happens after I click Create Plants?

All plant batches and plants are created together. Group assignments and relationships are applied automatically, and the data is synced to METRC.
