Record Cultivation Waste (Pre-Harvest)

Record waste from a plant group before harvest, such as leaves, stems, or trimmed material. Then review the waste and mark it as disposed once it's been destroyed. Recording this waste keeps your cultivation data accurate and supports compliance reporting.

Waste recorded after harvest (wet and dry waste) is entered on the harvest log instead. See Harvesting in Flourish: Overview.

Record Waste

1. Click Grow, then open the groups view for the stage.
2. Select the group.
3. Click Actions > Record Waste.

   

4. On the Record Waste screen:
   1. Enter the Waste Weight.
   2. Select the UOM.
   3. Set the date.
   4. Add a Comment, if needed (255-character limit).

   

5. Click Record Waste for Group.

Flourish shows a success message, and the waste is added to the Waste Log with the status Created.

View Waste Records

1. Click Inventory.
2. Select Plants > Waste Log.

   

Dispose of Waste

1. Click Inventory, then select Plants > Waste Log.
2. Use the Status filter to find Created waste.
3. Open the waste record and click Actions > Dispose.

   

4. On the Dispose of Waste screen:
   1. Enter the Actual Quantity Disposed.
   2. Set the Disposal Date.
   3. Add a Disposal Note, if needed.
5. Click Dispose of Waste.

   

Flourish shows a success message, and the record's status changes to Disposed.

Cancel a Waste Record

If you recorded waste in error, open the record in the Waste Log and click Actions > Cancel.
