Sell Bulk by the Lot and Pack to Order (Sellers)

Use Pack to order to sell weight- and volume-based inventory, such as bulk flower and concentrate. Buyers order from a specific lot, either by weight or as packed sizes that you pack after the order comes in.

Pack to order is a separate tab in the buyer's Order Builder. Weight-based items don't appear in the case screen.

Before you begin

• The bulk item must be lot tracked, with a weight or volume unit of measure (for example, grams).
• It must meet the usual menu requirements: active, sellable, e-commerce Active, an e-commerce category and sub-category, and an active price. See Add Items to Your Buyer Portal Menu.

Step 1: Offer a bulk item by the lot

1. Go to Settings > Ecommerce, open your menu, and select the Items tab.
2. Find the bulk item.
3. In the Availability column, choose Live by lot.

Buyers now see the item on Pack to order, with one Bulk row per lot with inventory. Each row shows the lot number, COA, harvest date, potency, and the quantity remaining. Buyers can order in grams, kilograms, pounds, or ounces (or mL, L, or fl oz for volume items).

Step 2: Add pack-outs (optional)

A pack-out lets buyers order a packaged size, such as 3.5g or 1g, that you pack from the bulk lot after the order arrives. Pack-outs and bulk orders draw from the same pool, so you never sell more than the lot holds.

1. On the item's row, click Pack-outs.
2. Select the packaged items you'll pack from this bulk item. The list shows only eligible items:
   • Active, sellable, and E-Commerce Active, with an e-commerce category, sub-category, and price.
   • Unit of measure Each, with a standard weight or volume set (for example 3.5 g).
   • The same strain as the bulk item.
3. Click Save.
4. Back in the Items list, set each new pack-out listing to Active. Buyers can't see a pack-out until its listing is active.

The pack size and price come from the packaged item. To change them, edit the packaged item in Flourish.

Each pack-out uses its pack size from the bulk lot. For example, 10 packs of 3.5g use 35g of the lot.

Step 3: Manage lots (optional)

Click Manage Lots on the item to see each lot's on-hand quantity, potency, and pack-outs.

• Limit pack-outs to one lot: click Manage in a lot's Pack-outs column. Pack-outs saved under Any lot (shared pool) are offered on every lot. Pack-outs saved for a specific lot apply only to that lot.
• Sell a lot that isn't in inventory yet: click Declare a lot not yet in inventory, enter the Lot number and Qty, and click Declare lot. This is useful for upcoming harvests. A declared lot isn't added to your Flourish inventory.
• Add more to a declared lot: enter a quantity and click Top up.

When an order comes in

Pack to order lines arrive on the buyer's Outbound order like any other Buyer Portal order:

Pack the packaged items from the bulk lot as usual, then allocate and fulfill the order. No work order is created automatically.
