2026.10 Release Notes
October 2026 updates: multi-package harvest packaging with lot numbers, non-cannabis work order outputs, COA parsing, customer document redesign, clearer Metrc sync errors.
Here are the highlighted new features and enhancements we rolled out in October 2026.
AI & MCP
New tools for managing your item catalog from your AI assistant. Refresh your connector's tool list to pick them up. See Items & Catalog: Update Items in Bulk with an LLM.
- Set case sizes in bulk. Find items that have no case size, then add the same case sizes to up to 5,000 items in one request. Changes to an existing default, or deactivating a case size, need your confirmation first.
- Pack size and online menu categories. The item update tool now sets pack size and the e-commerce category, sub-category, and active flag. A new lookup lets your assistant find menu categories by name.
Cultivation
- Create multiple packages from one harvest, each with its own lot number. Template several packages in one pass instead of creating them one at a time. This helps in states with testing-lot size limits, where a large harvest must be split into several lots before testing. See Create Inventory Packages from a Harvest.
- Declare package weights as you package from Drying. You no longer need to enter a harvest's dry weights before you can package it. Enter each package's weight as you create it, and Flourish adds those weights to the harvest's dry-weight totals.
- Package a harvest into a different strain's item. Metrc and non-integrated facilities can now package a harvest into an item whose strain differs from the harvest strain. This is useful when a harvest recorded as mixed seeds is identified later. This does not apply to BioTrack facilities.
Manufacturing
- Work orders can now produce non-cannabis items. Schedule and run prep work such as batching raw ingredients for a gummy cook, and capture shift, headcount, and labor hours on it like any other work order. Non-cannabis outputs are added to your inventory and are not sent to Metrc or BioTrack. See Manufacturing Work Orders with BOMs.
- Record adjustments against a completed run or work order on the web. A new Adjustments section at the bottom of a completed run or work order lets you adjust leftover inputs and non-cannabis consumables. Each adjustment is linked to the run, so waste and shrink show up in that run's yield. This matches the existing mobile app workflow. See Adjust Inputs After Completion.
Inventory and Lab Results
- Parse an attached COA on demand. Use the new Parse this attachment action to pull data from a COA PDF that's already attached to a lab result, whether you uploaded it or it came from your compliance system. Flourish fills in empty fields only and leaves anything you've already entered alone.
- Florida BioTrack: When a lab result posts, the External Lab Test Result column now updates automatically on sub-lotted child packages. You no longer need to click Refresh on each package. See Florida BioTrack Lab Samples and COA Management.
Retail
- Redesigned customer documents. The customer profile has a new Documents card with a status summary, a list view, and inline PDF preview. You can now delete a document, required fields vary by document type, and you can cancel an upload in progress. See Creating a Customer Profile.
- State ID on POS customer search. Customer search results now show the customer's State ID number and expiration date. Click it to open the document.
- The customer profile's Registry Info section has been renamed to Medical Card ID
- New York: Adult Use Excise Tax is calculated on the price before discounts, as required by 9 NYCRR § 129.3(b)(2). This applies automatically to all New York adult-use retailers.
- Support for prepaid and pre-authorized order payment statuses, and NMI payment terminals.
Outbound
- New York: Outgoing Metrc transfers now include the invoice number and payment terms. Metrc requires both for New York Cash on Delivery reporting under Metrc Bulletin 256.
Metrc
- Clearer sync error messages. Errors that used to show raw text, such as "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" or a generic invalid-credentials message, now explain the likely cause and what to check. See Troubleshoot Metrc Sync in Flourish: Overview.
- You can now retry package creation when Metrc reports that a source package is still part of an existing transfer.
- For companies with multiple licenses, we'e improved error handling when one license mapping is out of sync or invalid.
New Mexico
- New Mexico facilities that aren't integrated with a compliance system can enter a State Identifier when creating a package, and replace it later with the new Replace Tag action in All Packages.
- Retail order lines priced at $0.00 are blocked, because NMS2S rejects $0.00 dispenses.
- When a package no longer appears in NMS2S inventory, Flourish now records an automatic adjustment, so the change shows in the package's history.
External API
- New endpoints to create and update package allocations on outbound orders.
Coming Soon
- B2B wholesale e-commerce: a buyer portal and seller tools for menus, availability, buyer accounts, and order approvals. It is currently in pilot.
- Native point of sale on the Flourish Android app.
