Record Wet Weights by Plant

Record wet weight for each plant after harvest using four methods: type in log, CSV import, average weight, or mobile app. Required for Metrc facilities.

Purpose

Record a wet weight for each plant in a harvest right after you cut the plants down. Per-plant weights are required for Metrc facilities, and optional for other facilities that want plant-level tracking.

There are four ways to record per-plant wet weights:

Metrc facilities: record Whole wet weight for every plant in the harvest. The harvest won't sync to Metrc until every plant has a weight.
Weighing by bin or container instead? Non-Metrc facilities can skip plant IDs. See Record Aggregate Wet Weights (Non-Metrc).

Prerequisites

  • The harvest must be in the Harvest stage.
  • The weights you want to record must be turned on for the facility, and Display plant ID column must be on. See Choose Which Harvest and Drying Weights to Record.
  • Your user role must include permission to edit harvests in the Grow module.

Open the Harvest Log

  1. Select Grow from the left navigation.
  2. Click Harvest in the top ribbon and select Harvests.
  3. Click the name of the harvest.
  4. Click Edit Harvest Wet Weight.

The harvest log shows one row per plant, with a column for each weight your facility records. The totals at the top update as you enter weights.

If the harvest has more than one strain, use the Strain dropdown to switch between them. Each strain's plants are listed separately.

Type Weights in the Harvest Log

  1. Find the plant's row. To jump to a plant, type or scan its tag in Search by Plant ID.
  2. Click the weight cell, for example Wet Whole Wt, and enter the weight.
  3. Repeat for each plant.
  4. Click Done.

Weights are recorded in the unit shown next to All weights in. To change it, see Change the Unit of Measure for Wet Weights.

Export and Import a CSV

  1. In the harvest log, click Export to CSV. Flourish downloads a file listing every plant in the harvest.
  2. Open the file and enter each plant's weight in the weight columns. Don't change the plant IDs or column headers.
  3. Save the file as a CSV.
  4. Back in the harvest log, click Upload the CSV file and select your file.
  5. Check that the weights and totals look right, then click Done.

Apply an Average Weight

If this option is turned on for your facility, you can weigh the whole harvest at once and let Flourish divide the total evenly across every plant.

  1. In the harvest log, [VERIFY: control used to enter the total weight].
  2. Enter the total wet weight for the harvest.
  3. Flourish divides the total by the number of plants and records that weight on each plant.
  4. Click Done.
Check with your state rules before using average weights. Some states expect each plant to be weighed individually.
